MIRAMAR CLUB. The match for the Gold Button presented by Mr J. L. Pettey was played on Saturday. Of the twelve who had qualified, eleven oompeted. Captain A. E. Conway proved to be the winner with a nett score of 76. He was closely followed by J. T. Tucker, who finished with a nett score of 78. A. E. Russell won the medal competition, played at the same time, with a score of 91, handicap 16, nett 75. T. H. Gibson, with a similar handicap, returned a nett score of 76. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. The last match of flip season—a mixed foursome—will he played next Saturday, December Ist. Members are requested to make their entries with the secretary not later than Thursday. After the match the annual presentation of trophies will take place. OTHER COMPETITIONS. Several competitions were got off at the week-end. In the final for the junior championship, A. E. Russell—one of the most improved juniors this season —easily defeated G. Magnus. Russell throughly deserved his win. Magnus played, with a good deat of 'hard luck. The Prince of Wales Cup was won by A. A. Stichbury, who defeated R. W. Scott somewhat easily. Another competition that reached its final stage was that for the Webb Memorial Cup. S. A. Wirep, in the final match of 36 holes, defeated A. B. Hamilton by 4 up and 3, and Is the first winner of the cup, which ij competed for by juniors only.
