Rolfe, who attempted to murder hi* wife on September 20th, was sentenced to imprisonment for life. After previously serving a lengthy sentence for attempting to kill hu wife, Rolfe met her in the street and assaulted her, wounding her in the head. The woman was removed to hospital. Next day Rolfe visited the hos})ital, and fired five shots at his wife ying in bed. A doctor and hospital attendants, after a long chase, captured him.
