TO VISIT SINGAPORE

The Earl of Cavan, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, will visit Singapore officially early in 1924. Thereafter he will go to “Australia and New Zealand at the invitations of Mr Bruce and Mr Massey. He will probably return via Canada. CRUISER ADELAIDE TQ ACCOMPANY SQUADRON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, November 20. Mir Bruce has announced that the cruiser Adelaide will accompany the British battle-cruisers from Australia to England in April. H.M.A.S. The suggestion that the vessel be filled with concrete and used as a breakwater at Coff’s harbour is regarded as a technical infringement of the Washington Treaty.
