NOT SAFE TO BE AT LARGE

At the Supreme Court to-day, AfL thur Hamilton was found guilty of entering a Chinese laundry and stealing 18s 6d. He was sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment. Mr Justice Stringer said that it wa6 not safe for this man tc be at large. He had been convicted here and in Australia. In New Zealand he had been convicted eight times for burglaries, five times for breaking and entering, and was sentenced to a total of ten years’ imprisonment and to one year before he came to New Zealand. He would have him locked up for as long as he could.
