ANNUAL MEETING. Tho report of tho ScoU.ish Society and tho Pipe Band of Wellington, presented at the annual meeting, showed that the cash credit at the bank had increased by oCB9, and is now <£265. It was stated that all the Town Hull gatherings had been successful. Another financial activity of the society was tho putting into operation of the rule which read.v “To help necessitous and deserving countrymen, who, through misfortune, old age, or illhealth, arc unable to help themselves/’ The amount raised for the benefit of immigrants and others in need of assistance, but not charity, ran into three figuilesu Ninety-eight new members were elected last year. Special reference was made to the good work of tho ladies' committee. Tho following officers have been elected for the ensuing year : —Patron, Hon. T. W. Hislop, M.L.C,; chief. Captain : Charles M‘ Arthur; chieftain's, Messrs L. M‘Ken2ie. G. Lachlan; treasurer, Mr N. M'Lean; secretary, Mr YV\ E. Boyd; assistant secretary, Mr C. Campbell; committee,. Messrs K. Anderson, C. Stewart, H. lland6, J. Lothdm, J. S M w DougaU, H. Stokes, W. Needham; ladies’ committee, Mesdamcs Needham, Seaman, Bradshaw, and Collino; drum-major, Mr Colin Campbell; drum-sergeant, Mr J. M'Lollan; pipemajor, Mr W. G. Patterson; pipesergeant, Mr A. Kirkpatrick.
