The executive of the Otago University Christian Union has completed arrangements for collecting sums for student relief from all those willing to help. The relief organisations at work among tho desperately needv students of Europe have recently made some rearrangement of their forces, hut there is no ground for the impression that seems to have been gained in some quarters than the need for relief is passing. On the contrary, the sufferings and privations of large numbers of students in different parts of the Continent are just as intense as ever. The Student Christian Movement has made itself responsible for Telief measures, and there is no question that any assistance it can forward is required for students whose need is dire. The Wanganui Agricultural Association have decided to set up a committee to gather information in connection with a proposal to hold a winter show in Wanganui, and a report will be presented a fortnight after the approaching show next month. The opinion was expressed at a meeting of the committee of the association that the accommodation was now available for the holding of a successful whiter show in Wanganui.
