ELECTIONS IN AUSTRIA
GREAT SHORTAGE OF HOUSES THE BURNING QUESTION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, October 10. The Vienna correspondent of “Tho Times” says the general elections are less than a fortnight ahead. Housing is the burning question of the moment. There are, roughly, 55,000 families in Vienna who are looking for homes, which are unobtainable. Building has lagged since before the war because rents were restricted to safeguard tenants from eviction.
