ULIMAROA NEXT FRIDAY. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa is due" in Wellington on Wednesday next, from Sydney. -She returns to the Australian port on the following Friday. PIAKO DUE TO-DAY. The liner Piako, loading under Federal agency, was expected to leave New Plymouth last evening on completion of her loading at that port. She is due at Wellington to-day, and sails from here on Tuesday next for Napier and Auckland to complete her cargo for Now York, Boston, London, and the West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. ROTORUA’S FINAL DATE. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua, which left Wellington at 6 p.m. on Tuesday for Auckland, is to leave the northern port on Saturday for Southampton and London, via Pitcairn Island and Panama. THE CANADIAN SPINNER. Messrs Murray, Roberto and Co advise that the Canadian Spinner, from Australia, is to load on the New Zealand coast from the end of next month for New York, Boston, and Halifax. TAINUI DEPARTS. After discharging the local portion of her London cargo the Shaw, Savill liner Tainui leaves Wellington to-day for Lyttelton, to put out the balance. Subsequently she loads at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff, Timaru and Wellington. She is due back here on October 24th, and sails finally for Southampton and London via Monte Video and Teneriffe on October 31st, at noon. TOFUA FROM SUVA. The Union Company’s Tofua (Captain E. CANTERBURY STEAMERS. The Canterbury steamer Calm arrived last evening from Bluff via ports, and sails to-morrow iraa Wanganui. She is due back on Saturday, and sails later the same day for Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru and Bluff. The Gale is due in port on Saturday from southern ports, and sails the same day for Dunedin direct thence Timaru and Lyttelton. She is due back at Wellington again on Thursday of next week. The Storm loads at Dunedin on Monday, proceeding thence to Oamaru, Timi aru and Lyttelton. She is due here later in the week, and goes on to Wanganui. The Kohi is due on Friday from Havelock and Bays, and sails on Saturday for Nelson. The Breeze loads at Dunedin to-morrow, proceeding on to Timaru and Lyttelton, and is due here on Tuesday next. A fixed red light, height 50ft, visible six miles, is exhibited from a white and red painted tower, situated near Mnlivai River entrance, in lat. 13deg 49min S., 1 long. 171 deg 45.5 min W. An electric power transmission cable is being laid below the bed of the Whakatane River at a position 20ft up-stream from the East Coast Co-operative Freezing Company’s wharf, on the north bank of the river, about two miles above , Whakatane Town Wharf (states a Gazette I novice). The position of the cable will, on each ! side of the river, be defined by the erection of notice boards marked .Cable" in large letters. Vessels must not anchor in the vicinity of the notice boards. Tahiti, which arrived in the stream at 2.50 a.m. yesterday from San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete. berthed at the Taranaki street wharf at 9.10 a.m., after medical inspeo tion had been completed. The vessel left San Francisco on September 21st, at 11 a.m. After a very fine passage with only moderate breezes and smooth seas, she made Papeete on September 30th at 11.30 p.m., and left the port at 11 p.m. next day. She arrived at Rarotonga on October 3rd at 1.45 p.m. After loading fresh fruit she sailed on October 4th, at 5.1(0 a.m,, and had a fine and uneventful passage to Wellington. The cargo from San Francisco Comprises canned fruit, dried fruit, watches. X-ray appliances, rubber shoes, i.to tires, roofing paper, parafin wax, oranges, lemons, grapes, asphalt, medicine*, atomic sulphur, candy, onions, moving picture films, redwood lumber, machinery, periodicals, glass bottles, automobile parts. NARDANA REPORTED. En route from Liverpool to Auckland, the Nardana arrived at Colon on. October Ist, and sailed the following day in. continuation. of her voyage. She is expected to arrive at Auckland about October 25th, and will later discharge at Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Bluff. PAKEHA FOR DISCHARGE. The Pakeha was expected to go up to Auckland on Tuesday to discharge a large general cargo at the Queen's wharf from London. She has been, discharging explosives at MotiVhi WEST NILUS LOADING. The Swayne and Hoyt liner West Nilus is now loading on the Pacific Coast for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Melbourne. She is scheduled to clear from San Francisco on October 31st. TRELEVAN TO LOAD PHOSPHATES. Messrs Henderson and Macfarlane advise that the next loading at Nauru Island for Auckland will be the Trelevan, replacing the Waimaifino.. The Trelevan will be due at the island on the 19th, and should be at Auckland about November sth to discharge 7000 tons of phosphates. STRATIIFILLAN DISCHARGING. The steamer Strathfillan arrived at Auckland from Safaga Bay, Red Sea, via southern sorts. She berthed at the King’s wharf to discharge the remaining 1000 of her phosphates, and ie expected to leave to-day for Nauru Island to load phosphates for Australia. AYMERIC GOES EAST. The liner Aymeric. 5196 tons, en route from Newcastle to Chile, passed Wellington Heads shortly after 8 o’clock yesterday morning. KAZEMBE LEAVES PORT. The A. and A. liner Trecarrell. which arrived from Liverpool via Auckland on Monday evening, is to sail tor Lyttelton and Dunedin to-morrow to comphWS discharge. From the last mentioned port she proceeds to Australia. .
