SYDNEY'S WICKED WAYS

BAPTIST CLERIC SHOCKED “THINGS MANAGED BETTER IN NSW ZIIALAND.” ARTISTS’ BALL “DISGRACEFUL.” By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 1. The Rev. William Lamb, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle, in an address last night, compared the social life of New Zealand with that of Sydney. He said that they managed things better in New Zealand, and it would not have been possible there to have such a disgraceful exhibition as the artists’ ball. The tragedy of sin was not openlyflaunted there, demoralising the young people, and neither were New Zealanders under the diabolical influence of socalled art.

Mr Lamb fears for Sydney if these wicked ways are not changed.
