EMPIRE LEAGUE CONFERENCE. APPRECIATION OF HELP RECEIVED. Heuter’s TeJftjrram LONDON, July 26. The Empire Service League Confer, enee -included with a luncheon to overseas delegates, Field-Marshal Lord Haig presiding, and a visit to the v;i r graves ol France and Belgium. The theme of tho speeches was gratitude to the War Graves Commission for the admirable manner in which the cemeteries were kept. General Maekay, responding, welcomed the decision to turn tho cemeteries into gardens. He presented Lord Haig with an address on belialt of the overseas delegatee appreciating his efforts to help ex-service men.
