DURING SLACK MONTHS
BUILDING PERMITS ISSUED. MANY AT EASTBOURNE. Building permits totalling £1642 have been issued at Eastbourne since the last meeting of the borough council. Pi nee April Ist. twenty-seven permits have been issued at an estimated value of £9628. Fees received to tailed £23 10s. The Mayor (Mr F. H. Mather) referred with satisfaction to the progrese in building, which he said was a matter for congratulation, as these were the slack months of the year.
