KING COUNTRY LICENSES
A PROTEST MEETING. A protest meeting against the pro posal to introduce license in the King Oountrv is announced to be held next Thursday at 8 p.m. in tho Salvation Army Citadel. Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., is to speak, and particular interest attaches to this in view of the fact that he was the Premier who signed the proclamation making the King Country “dry” and turned the first sod for tlio railway to pass through that territory. Other speakers will support the protest. His Worship the Mayor (Mr R. A. Wright. M.P.) will preside.
