REBUILDING A BRIDGE
LOAN PROPOSALS CARRIED. Par Proas Association. WHAKATANE, July 27. A \poll of county ratepayers was taken yesterday on the proposal to raise £150,1 for rebuilding tho Waimana bridge. Tho proposal was carried by 277 to 24. The Government gives a subsidy of £ISOO for the work.
