CITY SUICIDE

DEATH OP HATAITAI RESIDENT. CORNER’S FINDING. The inquest into lu* death of a mid-dle-aged mar Hied man, Alfred J. McDonald, who resides at 6, Waipapa road, Hataitai, and who was found with his throat cut on Thursday morning last, was held before the coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt, 8.M., at the Magistrate’e Court yesterday. The evidence of several witnesses called pointed to the fact that decoased had been depressed for some time past. A neighbour of decoased, who was called in during the morning, deposed to having found him in the bathroom, kneeling before the bath. Dr. McEvedy was immediately called in and the body ♦removed to the morgue. "The court’s finding is that this unfortunate man died at his residence of suicide by cutting his throat whilst ten* porarily insane,” was the verdict of tJTt coroner.
