DUNEDIN BILUfRD TOURNAMENT ROBERTS AND SMITH IN FINAL. !Vr PresDUNEDIN July 27. The serii-final game* for the araatnu billiards hampionship were played today. Roberts (Auckland! beat Stewart Dunedin) 750 to 600, after a somewhat slow game, and Smith (Christchurch) beat I.indsay. 750 to 604. At one stag* Smith appeared likely to have a Terr easy win. The scores were 712 to 563 in bis favour, but Lindsay played splendidly in the closing stages and reduced his opponent’s lead to 56. The final between Roberts and Smith will be started to-morrow night and will be concluded on Monday night.
