The inquiry into the cause'of the wreck of the Sumatra opened to-day, Mr Justice Coliien presiding. A representative of the martime unions was present, but as soon as he learned the inquiry would bo confined to the Sumatra, h© withdrew. Formal evidenoo was entered upon.
