SUMMER TIME
GREAT SAVING OF COAL. DEBATE IN FRANCE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association PARIS, May 16. Despite the former decision, the Chamber of Deputies passed the Government Summer Time Bill by 313 votes to 246 after a lively debate terminating in a fervent appeal by M. Poincare, who pointed out that it would mean saving 200,000 tons of coal.
The Senate is expected to agree to the Bill.
