SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Warm thanks went out to liostaa? and performers for a happy evening from tho seafarers at Miss Troon’s concert at tile Sailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday, when the encores were many. Tho performers were the Mesdames Robertson, McMillan, and Allen, and Misses Dix, Troon, Mueller, F. Dix, and Messrs Booth, Reynolds, Mullen, 'l'obit, and McDonald. The Mesdames Robertson and McMillan were at the piano. “Pranks” was the title chosen for the temperance chat by Mr J. Moore, missioner. Pledges again followed. The competitions again gave the utmost pleasure. The prizes came from the hostess and Kelbum, and went to the Tainui, Orari, and Port Melbourne.
