INTERCESSORY SERVICE
- There was a very good attendance at thu weekly intercessory service which was held in- the. Concert Chamber at midday. The Rev. ,A. T. Thompson, secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, presided. Prayer was offered by the Rev. •> W. Maurice Holland, Mr J, Rumgay, and Mr J, Priestly. The Scripture portions oortprieed Deuteronomy 6th chapter, read .W the chairman, to 24, by Mr, D. A. Ewen, and 2nd Peter, Ist chapter, by Mr C. J. Lovatt. The service," which concluded by the sip'ging of the National Anthem, included several . well-known hymns, tihioh were sung to the accompaniment of Mr J. Mann, pt the piano. * ■...■'j.,,,-.
