WAR BREWING

POLAND AND LITHUANIA. DISPUTED TERRITORY. Reuter’s Telezrara. WARSAW, April 16. There is further trouble between. Poland and Lithuania owing to the Lithuanian Premier notifying the Council of the League of Nations that Lithuania intends to, contest tlfe decision of the council imregafd to the PolishLithuanian neutral zone before The Hague Arbitration Court, reserving the right to declare war upon Poland from the beginning of May. The Polish Press is indignant, and accuses Lithuania of desiring at any cost to provoke war. It alleges that German instigation is behind the action, and also that there is, between Berlin and Konigsberg, a secret arms depot. The papers declare that Poland cannot now be asked to sign the statute now being prepared in Paris, giving Lithuania sovereignty in Mcmel.
