EXHIBITION OF ETCHINGS
The most remarkable manifestation of art appreciation is to-day accorded to etchings. _ The art of etching almost ranks in importance nowadays with the art of painting, and world-wide interest is being shown in •proofs by many notable artists, who employ the etchers needle. This week the people of Wellington will havp-'a unique opportunity to inspect the work of a large number of leading English artists,-for about sixty original etchings are to be exhibited at the Murray Fuller Gallery, commencing this morning. The hr trusts include many well-known names: —W. Lee Hankey, R.8.R.0.1., Edmund Blamfield, R.E., W. L. Wyllie, R.A.,'O. H. R. Nevinson, Robert Spence, RJ&., Percival Gaskell, RE., Louis Orr, Stanley Wilson, J. H. Dowd, John Barclay, and' others; also the famous French artist, L. Bronet. .The exhibition will open this morning, and .will Continue for ten days. The. Murray Fuller Gallery is at 100 Lambton quay, opposite the Midland Hotel. /•' i i i —.
