Tressady took charge when entering the straight, and won by three-quarters of a length. Time, lmin l-i{ ;ec. FUTURITY STAKES. Salatis 1 Ehirythmic 2 Caserta 3 Twelve started. Salatis came to tho front on entering the straight, and in the run home beat off Maid of the Mist, and won from Elurythmic, who put in a wonderful finishing effort, by one length. Time, lmin 27sec. TRIAL GALLOPS By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, February 24. The weather was fine, but dull for the trial gallops at Oaulfield. Coleus did six furlongs on t'he sand in lmin 164 see; East covered, five furlongs in lmin itjaec; Little Flower, with J. Munro up, did a record two-furlong gallop in 23-jsec; Harvest King did a mile on the sand in lmin 50sec ; The Cypher ' covered four furlongs in 51$sec; Mufti did a mile easily in lmin 50sec; Whittier galloped a mile and a half in 2min 50s 3C; Beeline covered five furlongs in lmin ssec; and Molyneux galloped, four furlongs in 55sec. At Flemington, The Rover and Sir Andrew did ten furlongs on the tan in 2min IGjsec, 'both going well; Scoroius, with R. Lewis up, galloped six furlongs on the grass in* lmin 19sec; Shillinglee did the same distance in lmin 236e0; Black Adder galloped nine furlongs on the grass in lmin 57Jsec, the first i’ou* taking 50sec; King Ingoda, Eventime, Work, and Quick Shot galloped five furlongs in lmin 6sec.
