Loughnan, who exceeded the speed limit on Jervois quay, was fined 20s and 7s costs. W. Boyle, on two charges of driving at a dangerous speed, was fined £5 and costs. For failing to pay a Defence fine R. W. Darrock, R. S. Btish and C. W. Davies were fined 10s each. D. Alabaster, who had no rear light on his lorry, was fined 10s and co’sts. MAINTENANCE CASES. Before Mr E. Page, S.M., yesterday, John Cecil Kiernan, rvhose arrears of maintenance totalled £47 10s, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as he pays 14s per week. Charles William Price whose arrears were £5.2, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as £2 5s is paid weekly. , William Slatting (arrears £8 8s 8d) was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, the warrant to he suspended so long as £1 10s per week is paid. Frank McMahon, whose arrears came to £4l os, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so lpng as 12s 6d weekly is paid. Elizabeth Alexander was granted a separation order and guardianship order against Christopher Alexander with maintenance at the rate of £1 12s Gd per week. George Patrick Baskeville was ordered to pay Maysic Frances Baskeville maintenance at the rate of £1 15s per week.
