WILL HE SEE WISDOM? HOPE OF AGREEMENT. Publish*,' in "Th» Thnes.~ (Received February 7, 12.5 a.m.) - LONDON, February o. Official circles do not regard the Lausanne breakdown as entailing tUities or the recommencement of negotiations for a new treaty. In view of the great measure of agreement, hope is still entertained that an arrangement will be achieved over Capitulations and the economic clauses. It is expected that Ismet will see wisdom in view of the many concessions which the Allies have offered in the other clauses of making the treaty before returning to Angora. It in pointed out that there is complete Franco-British agreement over the clauses which proved a stumbling block. For the present the Allies adhere to their eleventh-hour offer, and will await Ismet’s next step. KEMAL’S PLANS IN EVENT OF RUPTURE.
