Special Prize.—Kaihau Tewai Taipnra, Maori Pah, Temuka. The examiners of the senior essays were:—Miss Wilson, M.A. (boys) and Mr C. H. Mi rams (girls), and of the junior essays, Mr J. P. Firth, C.M.G. (boys), and Captain T. H. Chudley, R.N.R. (girls).
