NEW APPOINTMENTS. The constitution of the Prisons Board as announced in last night’s “Gazette” is as follows:—The Right Hon. Sir Robert Stout, P.C., K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand; Mr Charles Edward Matthews, Under-Secretary for Justice and Controller-General of Prisons; Mr Joseph Frank Strong Hay, Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals; Mr Gibbes Claude Borlase Jordan, of Tauranga; Sir George Fenwick, Kt., of Dunedin; Mr Edwin HalL of Onehunga; and Mr William Reece, of Christchurch.
