“ARBITRARY ACTION”

KIDNEYS IN LAMBS STRONG PROTECT FROM LONDON BUYERS. NOT UNDERSTOOD. fra raws usocutisi. CHRISTCHURCH, Januarv 10. The following cable has been sent by the British Incorporated Society ol Meat Importers to the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board relative to the question of kidneys:—“Referring to your cable of January sth, that vou are making a change in the establishment of the custom of dressing lamb against the concerted opinion of the trade, both wholesale and retail, if you pursue this course the responsibility is yours. Buyers expect- you to make good all losses caused 'them by your arbitrary action, and utterly fail to understand why you should order this change against 'the unanimous and strongest protests of the trade, who have been buyers of New Zealand lamb for many years.”
