SHELTER FOR ORCHIDS

WORK AT BOTANICAL GARDENS. An offer recently made by the Hon. C. H. Izard to supply the City Council with a number of orchids - has been accepted, and a house for sheltering them is to be erected at the Botanical Gardens practically at once, a contract for this purpose having been let. Tho begonias at the Botanioal Garden-, are looking very well just now, and although not quite at their best yet, they provide a fine sight.
