A POPULAR ROUTE
NBW PLYMOUTH TO TE KUTTI. Mr W T. Jennings draws attention to the popularity of the newly-opened rente from New Plymouth to To Kuiti, which is evidenced by the large number of visitors from the former town who have made the journey to Te Kuiti. The visitors, all of whom made the journey by motor, speak highly of the scenery met with on the trip, and comment delightedly on the general enjoyment of the ride. Mast parties allow eight honre for the journey, but some experienced drivers who know the road have been getting through under six hours. There are several tricky corners on hillsides which must be negotiated slowly, and one party recently, taking one of these corners too fast, got into the water-table and could not get out, spending the night in the car. The Te Kuiti “Chronicle’’ save the route is also becoming popular with Hawera residents.
