The Martin challenge badges were won by Riflemen Goldfinch’s team—Snedden, 91: Lawton, 83; Goldfinch, 83; Evans, 71; total. 327 points. Rifleman Pitt’s team were rnnners-np with 313 points. SUBURBS OLUB THIRD SERIES. The members of the above club fired oft the thiTd round in the third series and fifth ehoot in their championship at 800 and 900 yards on Saturday. There was only a small attendance, and though the weather was otherwise' ideal a tricky wind baffled the most experienced riflemen, and low scores resulted. The scores also counted in the Hickson Cup, for which the best totals to date l are:—: R. E. Hester 214, H. Hunt 210, L. PETONE CLUB THE THIRD SERIES. The Petone Rifle Club fired the first competition in the third 66ries at Trentham on Saturday, ranges 300 and 500 yards. The usual tricky fish-tail wind was experienced, and the competitors were greatly puzsled to pick the changes quick enough. A. Ballinger, with a good score of 90, was top scorer, and wins the spoon. A. Weir was top in -the B division, hut being penalised by previous wind, R. E. Flaws wins the spoon. A. Scott, with 69 points, wins the spoon in C. division., The scores are:— A DIVISION.
