SALE OF BLOODSTOCK
. LOW PRICES REALISED. SOME ATTRACTIVE YEARLINGS. At a sale of bloodstock held at Eller*he racecourse there was a good attendance but bidding for most of the lots' offered was slack and the prices realised must have been disappointing to the breeders. The top price paid at the sale was 55gns for a yearling gelding by Mullingar from Martigues, purchased by Mr F. Stenning. The youngster, a nice, evenly-balanced bay of fair size, carries the appearance of one that should; race early. A bay colt by Day Comet—Keep Watch, that realised 50 gns was another attractive-looking youngster. It fell to the bid of Mr J. Zimmerman, of Ngaruawahia. Mr H.
