ELLERSLIE AND EPSOM. DROP IN INVESTMENTS. For tho Auckland summer racing carnival of seven days—four at EQlerslie and threo at Epsom—the weather conditions wei-e not altogether favourable, but the attendances throughout were good. The investments, however, showed a serious drop, and at Ellerslie there was a shortage of *652,231, the drop at Eipsom being much smaller, tho decrease showing £21,458, which makes a total deficiency of *673,659.
