A PRIMA DONNA’S FARM
KING COUNTRY SELECTION. PURCHASED BY MISS ROSENA ’ BUCK MAN. Miss l£osina Buck man, the New Zealand prima donna, sustains her interest in the land of her birth in a tangible form. A “Times’’ representative was informed by the diva yesterday that she had purchased a aheepfarui in the King Country. VI have not seen it,” she confessed, “but we hope to if it can be managed before we leave New Zealand early in March for America. I am told that it is a very nice place, and my mother,' who has seen it, speaks in glowing terms of the farm. I ibelierve it is very" pretty, too. And there is a river running through it.” Further questions elicited the fafot that Miss Buokman’s purchase is situated on the banks of Hie Mokau river, and that in time the railway will pasa in its vicinity. As yet Miss Buckman has no thought of breeding any particular variety of■ stock, but later-this may engage her attention. ‘‘There are some very good Jerseys on it,” she. added. “I may get other stock later. At preeent. it'is in very good hands —my brother is looking’ after it. Negotiations were in progress before we left for Australia when we were here last.' Now, they have been completed.” ‘ “My husband has had a little farm in North Wales for a long time,” she continued, “and now I have got one. I suppose we will go to Wales very soon after we arrive back in England.” “The very first week we get back,” put in Mr Maurice D’Oisly. “No, I would not say that,” laughed Miss. Buckman, “hut we will ibe going there for a rest as soon aa we oan manage it.”
