A batch of 257 Italian immigrants has arrived at Sydney, the greater .proportion for Queensland ports. The question of their employment is seriously disturbing the authorities. Two hundred and fifty Italians who landed at Melbourne have 'been found employment. Some complain that they were grossly misled regarding their prospects. They expected to find -an abundanoe of work and high wages—up .to £4 daily. Some sold their farms and all their belongings to reach this land of promise, and aro deeply 'disappointed with realities.
