BRITISH GOVERNMENT WITHDRAWS AID. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 2. > The Government has decided to discontinue its financial aid to cadet forces on the ground of the urgent need for national economy. Colonel F. Fennell, speaking at the’ Public Schools’ Cadet Association at the Guildhall, said this policy was m contradiction to that pursued by the Dominions, where great importance was attached to the training of youths for national defence. He hoped the Government would reconsider the decision. ;
