STEVENSON WINS SINGLE ■SOD EESrap rases association. INVERCARGILL, January J. The New Zealand Championship Regatta was held at the Bluff to-day. The events were interfered with by a slight breeze which made the water choppy. Three championship events were rowed. The single sculls were won by W. Stevenson (Auckland): St. Clair (Hamilton) 2, Molesworth (Hamilton) 3. .Wellington also started. Won by 2i lengths. The third man was six lengths away. The championship fours were postponed from 12.30 to 6.30, on account of the rough weather. The result was: Wanganui Union. (Hjealy, Hyland, •Sharp, Combes) l,Avon 2, Awarna 3. A good race. Won by a length. Championship Double Sculls.—‘Hamilton <®t. Cfiair and Molesworth 1, Wanganui Union 2, Auckland 3. Hamilton won easily.
