ST. JOSEPH’S HALL. On Tuesday evening, December 12th, a concert was given, under the auspices of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, to a number of seamen from the s.s. Devon and the s.s. Kent. Pleasing items were given by Messrs F. Dwan, V. Vaniel, R. Robinson, J. P. Hyland, W. Gamble, R. Taylor, Fogarty, W. B. Gamble, and R. S. Dwyer, and several of the seamen. The accompaniments were played by Mr R. Halbert. At the conclusion the Rev. Before dispersing one of the officers of the Kent, on behalf of his fellow-seamen, thanked the promoters of the gathering for the exceedingly pleasant evening.
