Punitive operations are going on against the Angessana tribesmen i« the Sennar district. The tribesmen recently murdered five civilians and two police, and later attacked the police headquarters at Soda hut were beaten off. It is reported that a party belonging to the punitive expedition, mistaking their comrades in the darkness for the enemy, fired, killing an officer and a private of the Arab Corps.
