ALLEGED THEFT
DEFENDANT NOT SURE OF HIS NAME. A young man named Arthur -James Oborn appeared before Mr F.- F. Hunt, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday. on a charge of stealing a watch and .chain, valued at £3 12s fld, the property of Edward McKenna. Detective-Sergeant Lewis taid shat the accused had been arrested on Friday evening by PLain-clotlies Constable Cooper, and had given various different names. Ho had also stated that 'he was married, and had onet child, "but," concluded the detective-sergeant, “J don’t konw how true it is. We may be able to make other inquiries. His Workship: Mr Mills may know something about him. Remanded for a week.
