| In responding to the toast of "Our President’.’ at the South African Veterans’ reunion, at Waipukurau, Mr A. Gibson stated fhat every effort was being made to get the Government to I extend to South African veterans and other veterans the same privileges as had been granted to returned soldiers from the Great War. Members generally considered that it was but a fair thing to receive the same treatment as had been aocorded to the men engaged in the late war.
