SOLDIER SETTLERS

COLONEL MCDONALD’S MISSION. Colonel T. W. M‘Donald (president of the Otago Returned Soldiers’ Association) has completed his investigations into the Gladbrook and Poplar ' Grove soldier settlements, and in the course of the next few days he will make inquiries respecting the position of the soldier settlers at Benmore. At the request of the Otago and Southland District Council, he will then come on to Wellington to make representations for the alleviation of the conditions of the soldier settlers throughout the district.
