DUE TO HAEMORRHAGE
YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH. FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, September 4. The inquiry concerning the death of Elsie May Fraider, a young married woman from Wbangarei, who died on August 16th, at a house at Epsom occupied by David Imrie, son of Mrs O’Shaughnessy, was opened before Mr Wilson,. S.M. Mr Singer watched the cash on behalf of Mrs O’Shaughnessy and her son and daughter-in-law, Mi; and Mrs Imrie. Dr Abbott gave evidence that he was called by Mrs Imrie to see deceased at Imrie’s house. He found the deceased suffering from haemorrhage. He thought if he had been called an hour and a half earlier he could have saved her life. He and Dr Murray conducted a post-mortem examination, and found no sign of a wound. Death was due to haemorrhage following a miscarriage. There was no evidence of what caused the miscarriage. Martha Jane O’Shaughnessy said she resided with her son and daughter. She declined to give evidence on the ground that sbe might incriminate herself. Mrs Imrie also declined to give evidence on the material points. _ The coroner found a verdict in accordance with tho medical testimony.
