JOHNSONVIULE CLUB. FOURTEENTH ANNUAL MEETING. The fourteenth annual meeting was held last week,' the president, Mir N. Odok, presiding over a fair attendance of members. - ' , ’ The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, expressed his pleasure at the support that had been accorded to him during his term of office. He congratulated the club upon the satisfactory position reached in regard to its play, particularly in the Edwin feather matches and the' junior pennants. Reference was made to filepassing away of 'Mr Finlay Bethune, one' of the original members of the club, and one who was esteemed by all. The chairman drew attention to the billiard table account, which showed a big sum still owing, and pointed ont that during the winter months tho table had been practically neglected. Unless members supported the fable more, the question of selling it would have to bo considered. ; Several spoke in support of the report and balance-sheet. Mr F. T. O’Neill in. doing so made special reference to uhfinancial members, and hoped that something would be done early to reduce the large amount outstanding. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to those who voluntarily worked in improving the grounds and green during the past season, to those ladies who assisted in connection with afternoon teas, and to the Press for their courtesy in publishing bowling items concerning the dub. Four new members were elected.

' The following officers were appointed: President, Mr G. A. Jones; vice-presi-dent, Mr F. T. O’Neill j secretary, Mr H. O. Pittendrigh; treasurer, Mr H. E. Harrap; directors, Messrs Thompson, Embury. Carman, N. Cook and Richardson; selectors, Messrs Turner, Neal and Jones; auditor -Mr A. Morgan. It was decided to support the centre’s suggested programme for the coming season, with a preference for the extension to provide for a greater number of rinks.
