MINING FATALITY
ON VANCOUVER ISLAND. ' HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. ; VANCOUVER, August 31. Nine men are dead, fourteen injured, two of them fatally, and three missing, as a result of an explosion .in' the Cumberland colliery, Vancouver island. The mine did not catch on fiqe, and thV material' damage is slight: - A lafer message states that three'of the injured men died in hospital. The three men' missing are now reported to be dead under the debris, making a .total of fifteen killed. - -•••-
