Cairo report® that a wireless message from Constantinople says that the Nationalist offensive appears to have been flanned with an eye to the coming ’eace Conference" at Vienna,' in' the hope that the Turks jvould be able to say: “We cam expel the Greeks from Asia Manor if left alone.” Tbe tone of the latest Greek communiques is not optimistip, especially in reference to the unexpected artillery strength, of the Nationalists, who are known to have received large supplies of' munitions, numerous aircraft .and other equipment from France during the last three months. (Received August 31, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 31. Several hundred Greek wounded troops have arrived at Smyrna from the interior.
