REDUCTION ANNOUNCED. From to-day, September 1, freights on wool by overseas steamers will be reduced, the new rates, compared with the old. rates, being as follow: New rate. Old rate. It s understood that the reductions have been made by the overseas shipping companies, in order to'assist the wool-grower at the present time of low values. It is estimated that by the above reductions of Jd per lb the saving to the producers will amount to £130,000, spread over the whole season.
