MELBOURNE, August 31The Wool Conference considered the resolutions submitted by the Australian Woolgrowers’ Council approving the present system of allocation of wool and its continuance for another twelve months, and also approving Sir John Higgins’s proposal for the.stabilisation of crossbred wool. The conference, after discussion, adopted these resolutions, but in the divisions the members of 'the National Council of the Wool-selling Brokers of Australia present did hot vote. Negotiations are proceeding between the- various interests represented at the 1 conference, from whioh an arrangement acceptable to all parties should result. The president of the Wool-selling Brokers urged that, after September 30th, all allocations of the forthcoming clip_ should be left in the hands of the selling brokers, who would receive and carefully consider any suggestions made by “Bawra’’ or the growers’ representatives, their object being to arrange dates so that the full strength of the buying interest would be concentrated at each selling centre in rotation. : Later a ■ meeting of “Bawra" and the Selling Brokers’ - Council representatives agreed to allocations tor, the Commonwealth September auctions of 18,000 bales.
