County cricket matches resulted as fol- • low; Kent, 248 for nine wickets, declared, beat Gloucester, 53 and 138. Freeman took six wickets for 18 and six for 54. Warwick, 235 and 75 for three wickets, i beat Somerset, 183 and 124. Derbyshire, 370 and 90 for eight, wickets, declared, drew with Worcester, 221 and 37 for three wickets. Middlesex, 299 and 278 for eight wickets, declared, drew with Surrey. 360, declared, and 49 for two wickets (Hobbs 126).
