Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received August 29, 5.5 p.m.l LONDON, August 28. Sir William Marris has been appointed Governor of tho United province of Agra and Oudh.

Sir William Sinclair Marris, who is 91 soars of age, was educated at Wanganui, Canterbury College and later at Christ Church, Oxford. He has held numerous State positions in India, rising to Home Secretary in the Government of India.
