MAGINARY GRIEVANCE
POLICE STATION WINDOW BROKEN. Frederick William Mason, 47 years of age, appeared at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., on a charge of damaging a window of the Central Police Station, valued at ss, the property of the New Zealand Government. Sub-Inspector McNamara explained -that the accused at the time of the occurrence, was under the impression that he had some grievance against the police and he had picked up a ®tone and thrown it through a window. He had then entered the station, and after admitting the offence bad asked' to bo lookod-up. He had undergone a medical examination which indicated that he was quite sane. In view of the fact that Mason had already been under custody for fourteen days, he was convicted and ordered to pay ss, the amount of the damage.
